Our esteemed guest this time is Martin Börjesson, AI evangelist at 2021.AI. In this talk he will tell us all about the MELDS framework, which originally comes from the book "Human+Machine: Reimagining work in the age of AI" (authored by top Accenture executives Paul Daugherty and Jim Wilson).

The MELDS framework points to the following necessary elements of a solid data strategy:

Mindset - being willing to change the business model, not just have AI as a superficial add-on

Experimentation - being iterative, not depending on formal business plans

Leadership - taking responsibility for data-driven outcomes, not resigning moral agency in the face of algorithmic "black boxes"

Data - the basic lifeblood of AI - what is the proper role of data governance in ensuring a steady supply of high-quality data in an enterprise?

Skills - the expertise and tradecraft required to pull it off

In this talk, Martin will unpack these five elements, drawing from his own experience as a consultant and thought leader in the AI industry.
